Chickens Pecking-Perches

We have six hens that all live in a coop together. The three white chickens keep getting pecked on and their feathers are coming off. We never see them pecking in the day, so we think at night, they sit together on the perches and peck on each other. We have two perches at equal heights that they sleep on. How should the perches in a coop be arranged to keep the chickens from pecking each other?

How many of what kind of chickens and how long are your roosts?

From what my chickens have taught me is that I could give them a 100ft of roost and they will all cram together in about 2ft worth of space

I'd put the ones getting picked on into a dog crate in the brooder. See if that helps.


Could they have mites? I'd check for that asap
