I use composted chicken manure in my gardens. No one in my house has ever become sick from it.


They sell composted cow manure. Pretty sure I won't get mad cow disease from that either.

Composted is fine! Heat and deterioration over time makes it totally safe. E. coli in fresh poopy and other organisms is the problem. I think after like 6 months it's good.

Composted chicken poop is actually better than cow manure bc of the additional calcium etc that's in chicken poop.

I think Lazy gardeners solution of pick up what you can see and but the greens back is a great and correct solution if there is concern.
