I have 4 baby chicks around 4 weeks. I never realized the phrase "your a chicken" said to a person that is scared was so true. Lol
Anything new and these chicks are so scared of it, it's almost sad.
Treats, new food dish, roosting stick, you name it.
Today their first day outside. Just for some outside time not permanent yet. They aren't screaming thankfully but all staying in the same place I put them when I set them in the pen I set up for them. Hope it won't take too long for them to start enjoying the fresh air and grass.

I always found it kinda amusing:lau The sounds they make when they see something new always makes me smile. I agree with chickassan, after an hour or less my birds lose interest in whatever it is. Especially now that they are 9 weels old. They come running to check out whatever it is that's new and after a few minutes they go back to their business lol

Thats what I find so funny. They come running to what in putting in, stop, look and runs too the other end. They might even walk up to it again, but will still run away. And oh boy, don't another chick accidently push one closer. You'd think they were being attacked or something lol.

Haha very true. I just put a paper plate with a bit on watermelon chunks down for them and you would think I threw a snake in there lol

Exactly! Until they get familiar with it and/or one of them decides that it is good to eat, then it is a free-for-all!

Chicklets are nuts!
Omg yes. One chick pics up just a piece of their wood chips and you'd think he had the best treat ever. They all try stealing it, just to drop it cuz they figured out it isnt all that great lol.
They are nuts lol

I love the Berry Chase! A little tray with 4 or 5 berries on it - very menacing! Then Big Bird or Duckling (a chicken) gets brave enough to grab one, and the chase is on!

I crack up every day. Today I am gardening so they got a bigger piece of sod than usual. Came back to find Big Bird underneath it!
