Chickens roosting, but not sleeping???

my husband installed a camera in our chicken coup, tonight was the first night I have been able to spy on them. They are all roosting- but wide awake, looking around...... it is after midnight and has been dark since 9 pm. I have been out and don’t hear any noise coming from the coup and they don’t seem upset. I can see most of the coup on camera and no predator or anything going on that would keep them awake. The camera doesn’t put out any light and the coup is dark. Curious if anyone knows why they would be wide awake at midnight???

They will doze off when need to. I don't think you will hear snoring.

They don't sleep all night, I've seen mine nap during the day, they take mostly "catnaps" and they'll sleep at night and be mostly quiet but they don't sleep always, mostly they are just roosting bc they can no longer see properly and need a safe place to rest, sleep and think.. That's my thoughts
