Chickens roosting on nesting box

Half of my 10 week chicks are roosting on top of the nesting box instead of their roost. The nesting box and roost are on opposite sides of the coop and the nesting box has a sloped front but flat back. Any thoughts?

We also had a sloped roof and they still tried to roost there. Ended up putting a 3 ft tall piece of plywood on the top leaning against the wall. Mine were also roosting in the nests, these are pullets and not laying yet. I have on hen who is laying and uses the same nest every day. I took all the nesting material out of the nests except the one and they've all gone back to the roost now.
