Maybe they are afraid Chickens would teach the inmates how to "fly the coop." We have had a few new members -ministers, who raise chickens to provide meat and eggs for low income communities. Apparently they were given the go ahead.

Do you think you could get one of the newspapers to run a story of what you would like to provide but, are not allowed to have chickens.?
