chickens shouting for no reason?

my chickens (3 hens no rooster) keep shouting super loudly and the second i go out there they quiet down... they have food and water ... why are they shouting? there is nothing nearby whenever i go out

Maybe they are shouting because they want you to go out there and give them treats, LOL!

Oh crap! Hopefully they are secure now that the raccoon has its sights on your chickens! That’s horrible! I would be freaking out, maybe even bringing all my chickens into the house! That is bad news!
