Chickens Sneezing ?

Is it possible for 7 wk old chicks to get a cold or have allergies to the bedding, I just got them 5 days ago and a couple of them seem like they sneeze once-in-a-while. Can anybody help?? Oh ya I have 15 turkens, and 6 americana's can the americanas catch it ??

In the absence of other symptoms, I wouldn't be too worried about the occasional sneeze. Their shavings are dusty and chicks generate alot of dust from feather growing. If they get one of their nares blocked, then just like humans they will sneeze to clear it.

Agree with gritsar. My chicks used to sneeze, especially when I put fresh pine shaving in their brooder box. Now they are big girls and some still do it when I put fresh shavings in their tractor.

just a reminder not to use cedar bedding . . . the smelling oils bother the birds.
