Chickens started laying this week :)

2 out of 3 started laying eggs this week I already have my first dozen. Now I already want more chickens next year!!

Great news, I am impatiently waiting on the rest of my pullets to start. LadyBug started 3 weeks ago, Spider-Man (granddaughter named them lol) is 22 weeks and she has been looking in the nest box but is not very red yet. The others are different ages. This waiting is getting old quick.

is very apposite - as my first chicks reach 3 weeks old today and are growing fast, I am really feeling the importance of that issue.

The Barred Rock doesn't look she is laying yet by the looks of her comb, the other two are definitely laying though! Congrats!
