I have currently 7 laying hens, then I bought 2 chicks from TSC and when they were old enough, I introduced them to the big coop. Like any introduction, there was some feathers ruffled, but now about 2 weeks latter, there is no disturbance between them. This is when I first started noticing that some stopped producing (the two I brought from TSC are not old enough to lay yet). Then, we built them a chicken run so they could go outside, before this only my two leghorns were laying. After they went outside, all of them stopped producing.

My first idea was to not let them outside. Today is the first day I am doing this, and their windows were not opened this morning. Then today when I was out in the coop, I noticed some poop that was green. We have had a bad experience before with a chicken that had green diarrhea, and didn't want to walk, that was a few months ago and we had to kill it. Now that I am seeing the green poop again, and noticed one of my leghorns is just laying in the nesting box, not moving. I'm going to keep an eye on her. Also, we had changed their feed recently to something of better quality.

I'm hope that the green poop is nothing, but if I have to I will confine her. I also hope this window trick will work. If any of you have an answer or suggestion for me please answer! I'd really not like to have to buy eggs anytime soon.

Thank you!
