Hi Forum....I blended two different flocks this past week. One is a year old (Rhode Island Reds) and one is 5 months old (Red Stars). Both flocks are laying. BUT...now I have many broken/pecked eggs or evidence that the eggs were eaten. Suggestions?

I am dealing with the same problem right now. I was told to get quite a few wooden eggs or golf balls and put them into the nest boxes. Then when the hens peck at the hard"eggs" it will be fruitless and uncomfortable.

Other suggestions have been to put curtains infront of the boxes to mask the eggs by darkening the boxes. So I put in a lot of golf ball today and I am gathering the eggs often. When I hear the egg song I am out to the coop in a flash.

I hope it works well for you. Keep us posted!
