Ok so just got back from checking Mildred. I took hubby out with me to hold the flash light did i could get a good look at her. He did mention she didn't look like she was feeling well.
1. she was in the second roost not the top like she normally is, but I'll pretend maybe she just wanted to sleep lower tonight, she is one of the head hens though so i know that's not normal
2. I checked her over, no lice or mites. Vent looked normal (worried again about passing 2 eggs) and did not feel an egg inside. Crop slightly full so either she has eaten today, which I'll hope for now, or impacted from yesterday if she did infact not leave the roosts. I'll try to check her in the early morning tomorrow to be sure.
3. I wasnt home between 2 and 8 this evening But 4 difdernt times I went to the coop before leaving at 2 she was inside on the top roost. I'm hoping this had more to do with the wind today as i did have more chickens inside the coop today then most days. But as i mentioned she looked rather unsettled
4. No brown eggs today (sort of expected) I did get a few tan and green though i don't remember the count
So for now i left Mildred in the coop and will watch her tomorrow. Hopefully she was just stressed about the eggs yesterday and will be fine, but if not I'll seperate her to keep a better eye on things.
