Morning all,
Counting down to 4h season me and my hubby have decided this year we are going to really get into the feathery side of thing. We have so many questions about do's and dont's. My question for this morning is do male turkeys ducks and chickens get along at all or should I be thinking about 3 different areas to keep them all in ??

I don't know about all species, but my drake and cockerel would pounce each other if allowed to be in the same run.

Every situation is different. For best results keep them separately.

Hopefully we can get more than one area built. We can have a ton of danger critters in the area so we can't just let them free run.

You could just build one big run and section it off.
What will your housing set up be like?
I have one big run and it is divided into two sections. It has a coop in one and a duck house in the other.
But, there are many options depending on what you have to work with. Recently, I saw a shed divided into different sections for the different birds. But, then they were allowed to free range in the fenced yard during the day.

We plan on building different roost and coops and areas that they can have their own space. But the open run will be covered and well sucured but it will be about 30ft by 20 ft.

I don't know anything about turkeys except they are delicious. :D
But, duck housing can be less complicated - 3 walls and an entrance basically. But they have more water needs. That is another reason why I keep them separate.

Make the run as big as you possibly can. The more space they have the better that all of them will do.

Got our first 6 babies !!!
