New member in St. Louis, MO. My original plan was to have 2 older hens (probably stolen from my mother's flock) since we don't eat a lot of eggs and I primarily wanted chicken manure for my compost. Somehow, I ended up with 4 pullets--a Black Australorp, a Buff Orpington, a Black Sex Link and a Cinnamon Queen--so, i'm thinking we'll be awash in eggs and manure before very much longer. Well, we're already awash in chicken manure, I hope the eggs aren't far behind. Are there any other BYC members in St. Louis City?
