chickens want to perch on top of chainlink fence...

I just let my chickens run around my backyard. Some times they get on the next door nieghbors fence but she doesn't care. If you can't cover a spot with wire just make sure you keep a good eye on your chickens.My one rooster a white leghorn he defends his pullets against the coopers hawk but a redtail I don't know how that would work out

Well the problem with that is the chickens could very easily run to the front yard right into the street. The leghorn just showed me that yesterday.
This morning they both jumped on top of the fence first thing! Maybe I should clip their wings....but first I would have to catch them. LOL!
