Chickens with human like behaviors

Love this!

My chickens usually listen better than my children.

My rooster Georgie will jump on my back when I'm kneeled down and hang out on my shoulder if I stand up. He pretends not to like being touched, but when he's on the perch or in my arms he loves a rub.

My fluffy girl will look at me and talk in her chicken language. I talk back in English.

Sometimes I think the boys are pointing out treats for me instead of the girls, but this might be wishful thinking.

Funny story sad my chickens don't do that :lau

Don't be sad. It's a mixed bag, having a chicken on your shoulder. You know where their feet have been (walking through squish poop), they steal jewelry and peck eyes, and chicken poops every what, 10-15 minutes? Odds are uncomfortably high it'll be go-time when they're on your shoulder.

I'm big on letting them on my lap, though. Chicken time at its finest.

Nel is a movie star. She loves the camera, and LOVES talking to me. We have whole conversations.

My chickens have human like behaviors! Let's start with my rooster.
My rooster, well, all of my chickens respect personal space, they don't like when I get between their wind spand. My rooster doesn't like when you take pictures of him the only good pictures of him I got are when he's walking away. My rooster also hates being pointed at stared at ect.View attachment 2605146 the rest just don't like to be stared at, touched, or you getting into their bubble or business. Do any of your chickens do this if so reply what human like behaviors they have!View attachment 2605134

Surely you don't expect the King of the Barnyard to stop his important agenda for the paparazzi? :D

We integrated 2 Isa Browns with our 3 Fat Bottomed Girls (light sussex) a few days ago. Generally the FBG put themselves to bed first, and take the favoured roost spots right next to the pop door. The Isas roost at the other end of the bar, as far away as they can get from the FBG.
Yesterday Mary Ann the Isa ended up in the henhouse a little earlier than usual, escaping one of the bully girls. Her sister Ginger joined her, and after fidgeting around a bit, they put themselves up on the roost right next to the door. I'm sure they had a bit of a desperado attitude in the way they perched there, not actually settling down. I decided I'd better wait and watch what eventuated, in case of bloodshed.
Soon enough one of the FBG decided it was bedtime, and started up the ramp. As soon as the Isas heard her thumping up the ramp, they abandoned all bravado and scurried across to their accustomed spot.
I know it's not for real, but it's fun to imagine them having human "peeple" thoughts and behaviours.
