My cat on the other hand.. is the chicken protector. occasionally she chases them around.. but she sleeps outside at night - most of the time under their coop. and iis always lounging on the roof of the coop.. or the tarp covering some of the run watching them. She's really good with them!

LoL well Tommy is coming 4 years old this month, so he has finally started to calm down. When he was 8 weeks old I started teaching him the command "Don't Touch" using hot dogs, dog food, ect as the training tool. He got to where I could drop a chunk of raw burger and he wouldn't touch it until I said OK. Everytime I feed him, before I let him eat, I have him sit, and don't touch until I say OK. One or two times I have forgotten to say OK, gone out 10 mins later to find him staring intently at the untouched food LOL.

I have one older cat who is very respectful of my chickens, gives them a wide berth. Then I have a younger cat who is all hunter and stalks them. He will be out with them full time end of October though, just letting my 22 weekers get some girth to them.

The girls first glimpse of our new dane pup. He's now 5 mos. and does beautifully with them (although his tail catches a few accidentally sometimes).

Your roos are simply gorgeous, and your chickens are also very pretty. They all look very content and well fed. LOL. It is so SO nice when dogs, chickens and cats all get along.

I love emus and want to raise some, but my boyfriend CLAIMS he will never let me get into emus (since I joke about getting them after we're married). Anyone know of any ways I can change his mind?
