Chickens won’t go out of coop

How hot is it where you are? And is there food in or out? If it's not a pred and they're just weirdos then leave food a few meters outside run door where they can see it so it forces them to go out to eat and drink, and how shady is it? My some of our hens will chill in the nest boxes on hot days cause the yard is just roasting even the wind is hot is there something you did or moved that they may be mistaking? Our friends once chicken sat and brought thier child's large stuffed dog to entertain her and the chickens flipped out! After they realized it was fake they were good post attacking it whith vengeance o-O they also thought the lawnmower was a monster at first -_-

You could put up some netting over that side of the run , or a tarp, once they adjust they will feel safer. We did that on the west side just for 4 feet , I noticed they stay back there looking around sometimes ,

They definitely see things we do not see , you could also mow or cut trees so the bush isn’t so thick

i was outside in the run with them and they ran outside and started jumping, but they ran to one corner and the smaller chickens ran out for 3 minutes and ran back in and the big chickens were at one corner then freaked out and ran back in

the weather is like 70 usually but there is food inside and outside

@SuperStephVette lok I wish my youngsters did that! I feel like I have to throw a fit to make them take notice of any threat -_-
