chickens won't go to bed!

Hi. This is my first year with chickens and I just put our 12 week old hens in their newly built chicken tractor with a built in coop. The problem is at dusk they just huddle up in a corner instead of climbing up to the coop. The past 2 nights I have had to one by one put them in there. How do I teach them or will they catch on after a few more nights?

You might read my post in this thread. It’s number 5. My suggestion is to keep putting them in like you are doing. They will eventually catch on.

Ridgerunner is right...they'll eventually "get it" and go in by themselves. Repetition seems to be the key with chickens!!

Thank you both. I did it again last night and they ate certainly more willing. I'll keep at it.
