I have 11 week old silkies. They have been outside for two weeks. This is our second flock. I have a standard flock of 6 that’s in a seperate coop and they are 5 years old. I recently got silkie chicks bc I have one silkie in my standard flock. (I can’t combine her with the silkies yet because of mites(working on that)) but it took a couple days for the my silkie chicks to figure out how to come out of the coop in the morning but at night they just huddle in the corner of the run when it gets dark. I pick them up and put them on the ramp and slowly push them up so they try and understand to go in at night. Is there anything else I can do or is it the waiting game?? It wasn’t like this with my first flock, they seemed to get it down the first night.
Ignore the picture I couldn’t post unless there was a picture but they do sleep on the floor which I’m fine with. But they huddle like this outside.
