My chickens won't stop pecking at the metal wall. It is so loud it echos thru the whole area. I can hear it over the tv at full volume. They have a clean coop, water, flock block, and occasionally squash to eat. Is there something I can spray over the walls to get them to stop. It is like torture. Nonstop tink tink tink for hours and hours on end.

Are you certain there aren't small insects or something on the walls to attract their attention ?
I'am sure I catch them at it. I look into the coop and see them pecking the wall and as soon as I open the door they stop. As soon as I get inside and sit down tink tink tink starts up again.

can you just hang a sheet or old blanket or something over the wall inside? Is it only when they are locked in their coop or all hours of the day/night? Mine bang on the coop window if they are locked in and want to get out.

Sorry I know it must be really annoying but the way you described them stopping everytime you go out there and then starting as soon as you're gone, that's kinda funny. :)

As far as a solution, I can only think of changing the material of the wall, either by replacing the whole thing or covering it with something. How big is the wall? Could you maybe put a wood panel or something on it?
