Chickens won't stop swallowing feathers off of the floor, why are they doing this?

Ok I will upgrade their feed and I already try to collect the feathers when I see them because I sure them for crafts but I will see what happens

Good luck! I'm sure you already are, but keep an eye on their overall condition. If you're curious about possible impaction, you can check their crops at night and in the morning before you feed them to compare if they are emptying overnight. If they have full hard crops at night and empty ones in the morning, their systems are working normally.

Oh, and offer some grit in a dish(I use play sand, it's cheap. About six to eight bucks for a bag). It helps them with digestion, since they naturally eat fine pieces of sand to grind up food in their gizzards. It would help them to digest the feathers they already have swallowed.

I love that you use the feathers for crafts! I do too. They are useful for so many things!
