Chickentrain's Dog Q&A

For a golden retriever pupper, assuming we're taking one home at 7 weeks, how long should walks be at first? How many? How long should they be at adulthood? (our last dog died before I was really big enough to walk him on my own, I'm short)

its illegal in the U.S. to send home a dog before 8 wks of age

Walks should be short, for goldens especially, their joints need LOTS of time to develop. Several (4 ish) short walks should be ok. Do not encourage your dog to run or play hard until at least 1 years of age.

Cute dogs

Howd you end up with a merle labradoodle if poodles and labradors don't come in merle?

Because most "doodle" type dogs are really just expensive mixes with who knows what behind them. I don't even see a merle pup, which one is supposed to be merle?

It took me a long time to realise you didn’t want to know how long the dog will be when adult :lau

I think she might have a bit of Pomeranian in her, I forgot to say she is 7kg which would be quite huge for a Pomeranian. The rescue we got her from said she was a Pomeranian.

Looks like a 100% pet quality Pomeranian to me. :)
It's not at all unusual for them to be that size if not bred to standard.
