Chickentrain's Dog Q&A

I honestly wouldn’t get any from that site personally. There might be some good ones on there but it’s a gamble. If you Google *breed name* breeders CT (or New England) or something like that, you should find lots of good ones. Or I could even do some digging for you if you want but definitely always a gamble on those types of sites. I would also look on here for goldendoodle. No CT but MA and Maine

I've tried a bit but they all have waitlists that are like, a year's worth of puppies long

the Lancaster thing and those type. Though the marketplace isn’t always great either since purebred doesn’t always mean wellbred
I looked on Lancaster because I was just not feeling great and I was like 'what the hell I'll give it a shot' lol
DL is being super helpful with me on the AKC thing, though
We found a REALLY GOOD cocker spaniel breeder

Honestly I would just get on a waitlist and wait. I know it sucks but you don’t want to rush it and get a dog from a sketchy place or have health or temperament issues. Most good breeders will have at least a 6-12 month wait, possibly longer now with COVID. But it’s well worth it for a quality dog and if you get on lists now, it will be no time at all 🥰❤️ As opposed to waiting and then it’s even longer

yeah ik, it takes some digging but at least they have criteria to even be listed. Weeds out the really bad folk.
And it's one click to see this:

Which is an instant nope for me

Yeah that’s totally understandable! I’ve done that before too just to see cute puppies lol

That’s good though!
