Chickentrain's Dog Q&A

Not a Golden retriever. If not a Great Pyr, could be a Kuvasz, thry look similar. Def not a Golden.
Well, not a normal Golden but I’ve seen those “English cream” monstrosities look pretty wonky and they’re usually way heftier which is why I was thinking it. I once asked someone if their dog was a Great Pyrenees and they said no it was a English Cream “Golden.” In quotes cause they’re not real Goldens haha but some of them are very hefty and wonky built especially BYB ones so can be hard to tell sometimes.

Yeah, I've seen some of those. Poor things. Hideous. But I still think the one pictured is a Pyr. Shrug. I could be wrong.

Typo. Stiff hands.

Yeah I agree! The structure on some of them is absolutely horrible too and I feel bad!! I do kinda think it’s a Pyr too but then it looks kind of off for a Pyr too and a little small ? So who knows. 🤔 I guess we’ll never know for sure hahah Pyrs are becoming more common as pets lately so definitely a possibility!! But I could also see it being a BYB English cream monstrosity 😂🙈 although it is cute 🥰 this whole English cream thing has made it very confusing though because I love dogs and know a lot of breeds but lately I always think they’re Pyrs and they’re like no it’s a Golden 😂🤣🙈 I think they are breeding them to look like Pyrs more and more. Though I did have one where I asked if it was an English Cream and turns out it was actually a Pyr 😂🤣🙈

We rescued an elderly Pyr when an elderly shirttail relative went into a nursing home. Had her about 8 months. Nice girl, but flea-infested, gave all my pets fleas and the house too before we realized it. Totally overgrown coat and dewclaws in bad shape. Had to be confined days because she wanted to gnaw on the chickens, lol. But she patrolled freely at night and made a great LGD. Sad when she died. Would love to have a puppy of this breed, if I were fit enough to have a puppy again, which I'm not. Poor sweet old girl. She had a good life with us at the end. We got her squared away pretty quickly.
