Chickentrain's Dog Q&A

So I guess that because of the rescue part and the not well bred part I can't really get a good assessment from that

yeah, why I told you she is not breed type first

all of her shelties have either been way undersized, or way oversized

she was going to get a retired well bred dog, but shes a senior, wanted a senior dog, so she didn't burden any of us with a dog when she does pass

@DLHOCNT, something that the first breeder you'd posted had said made me think. Yesterday, I'd been playing one of my favorite games: find the irresponsible breeder. I'd been using a labradoodle breeder because it's doesn't get any easier to find an irresponsible breeder than with doodles. While I was on the site (I noted quite a few warning signs right away), I noticed they had merle puppies. This confounded me. Labs don't come in merle, and as far as I knew, poodles didn't either. I double checked their site, assuming the puppies were aussiedoodles or something. Nope. They claimed only to breed labradoodles. The breeder you posted made an interesting point: merle isn't really a poodle color. So not only was the breeder breeding doodles and doing it wrong, they were lying to their customers. Disgusting.

Yep! Haha.. Yes.

Here is another breeder I love talking about the merle poodle : https://www.windsweptpoodle.com/about-the-merle-poodle.html

Yeah I understand all the dogs there are very well trained before they go off to a home they are trained with kids and other dogs to see what is their ideal homes
I'm not trying to insult/attack you, I just wanted to point out that most puppies are well socialized, or at the very least they claim them to be well socialized: a responsible breeder will only have one, maybe two breeds that they breed, in addition to what has already been said :). Just because a breeder only breeds purebreds, it doesn't mean they're responsible :)
