I probably can’t wait too long in between getting them. I was thinking two puppies would tire each other out

if you want two puppies is it best to get them at the same time? or get one and wait until it is older then get the second? Best to get the same sex or different?

Wait, raising two is alot of work, and you run the risk of littermate syndrome

When the older is about a year old, maybe older.

It doesn't have to be two puppies from the same litter, its just two puppies. They bond to eachother, not you. They might also have agression towards eachother

to combat this if you where to get two, don't let them see eachother for more than 10-20 mins a day, for at least a year

How do you associate brushing with good things? Teats and praise consistently from a young age?

You may not even need treats, if the brushing just feels good to the dog.

Brushing can feel good to a human head.
Horses seem to enjoy being brushed.
I've got a cat that seems to like it.
So I would assume a dog could also come to like it.

I'm sure that starting from a young age would help. And it's probably best if the first brushing is NOT a long session of de-tangling that pulls their hair!
