My old dog (the one I keep mentioning) was named TIFFANY before we got her. Who names a dog Tiffany????!!!.

She became Sandy

Yeah there’s some really horrible names out there lol one of the fosters DB & SIL had was just called Big Guy or BG

They changed it to Levi because it sounded similar and then the new family changed it to after my brother lol

Everything I've read goes on and on about how it's important to choose the right name for your puppy and you can't change it later

Not true LOL I mean yeah name is important and certain letters are easier but you can definitely change it

But how do you change it?

I just started calling my dog by her new name. I think if the dog is too old then it might be best to keep its old name, around 9 years old is when I would not change the name.

names that end with an -uh or an -ee sound are better, right? (e.g. Lila, Bailey)

I mean maybe but they’ll get used to it. Especially if you call it and give them a treat when you say it
