How goldens should look, if a bit small for my liking:

Aren’t those working ones? I think somebody posted about golden retriever colours somewhere and those colours being accepted Or something like that

And he's not small! I think he was like 140 at the time.

wow!! The biggest goldens shouldn't be above 100, which is a HUGE difference

I don't like the other "colors" of goldens people have. Its supposed to be GOLDEN! Geez.

I like the look of the red one but not as a golden retriever
they should be a nice toasted marshmallow color

Nope, they're just people breeding for different colors

Here's a working golden
they've got shorter fur, longer legs, and different structure, and there's more color variation, but not that much

I know! I can understand maybe someone who has never had a golden thinking he was one. But NOPE. This lady had her golden standing right next to mine. "iS thAt a wHitE gOldEn reTriever" I almost just walked away lol.

So at least in the UK they can be cream but they can’t be red or mahogany

I have seen some very light ones in shows but they almost always have poorer conformation than the ones of the correct coloring.

I'm positive that someone has tried to make them but they'd really just be breeding flat coats with longer coats, so there wouldn't be any crossing
