Well, but ... Who does the dog actually live with? What if the person the dog lives with decides to move? Who pays for the dog's health care. What benefits or responsibilities do you get by being a co-owner?

I have no idea about for adults, but for me, it's literally only for juniors
the benefit I get is that I get to show the dog
the responsibilities I have are grooming the dog for the show and transporting the dog

Sort of, yes! I'm trying to find a professional handler near me to be an assistant to, but I'm struggling.
Showing the dog in the breed ring is usually the 'price' for a junior co own- the breeder gets the dog shown by someone who's goals are literally only to improve their handling, without having to attend the show, and the junior gets experience.

Take advantage of opportunities to learn things, whenever they pop up.

I see, @black_cat , thank you for explaining. Does the breeder keep the dog in their kennels and show up with it to the show, and meet you there? Do you have a chance to work with the dog ahead of time so it gets familiar with you?

The breeder (or owner, or whoever you're co owning with) keeps the dog, and you bring the dog to the show. Yes, you do get a chance to practice, but as you get better, some people might ask you to show extra dogs and you'll just have to deal. I know some people my age who do that.
