chickes get meds in food... do you give meds to chickens?

Does anyone give medicine to chickens to prevent disease like pre worming or something??? my baby chicks all have medicated started... what about later.... what medicines if any does anyone give teh full grown chickens even if they are not sick???

I am a firm believer that meds should only be given if there is a disease present, otherwise you are just making stronger diseases.

I never worm. I do check their poop. The only thing I do for my chicks is to initially feed them Medicated Starter or Starter/Grower crumbles. The medication in the crumbles is sulfa based. It helps the chicks develop an immunity to cocci. I have not had any health issues. I may just have been lucky.
