That's crazy! That neighbor must not know you very well Sour, because anyone that does, knows how much care you give your dogs. Glad you had training records...what would have happened if you hadn't had those? Hope that's the end of the matter!

I'm not certain that it was a neighbor. Perhaps a delivery person? As the officer said, "In order to even know that you have dogs, someone would have had to come on your property." Sadly, now, everyone is suspect.

You're right...any day off work is a good day, regardless of the weather! We'll get down into the 40's tonight for the first time this fall, yay.

That's crazy about your oven. You've given that one enough of a try, it's time for a new one.

Yesterday was cool and damp. It had rained the day before. I still washed windows and will do more this afternoon. It is very foggy this morning and it’s supposed to be windy through Saturday. I’m just glad I am not at work.

I’m researching new ovens this morning. I put ribs in my oven last night and went to check on them and the temp was at 105*. We just put this element in. My last one burned out after baking all those cupcakes. The one I just ordered will be the 9th element including the one the oven came with. I don’t know if the elements are not good quality or if it’s the stove itself. I would like a dual fuel stove. They are expensive.

With what you do, you need a good one!

Interesting start to my day. Was wakened by knocking at the front door. Answered to find a very large police officer there. Long story short - someone wrote an anonymous letter complaining about the way I keep my dogs and that they doubted they were getting enough exercise. 60 years here and this finally happens ? I showed him my training records - he was aware of the proximity to the beagle club, and I think all is okay. Last sentence of the letter tells it all. "We would like to remain anonymous." Problem for me is that now everyone is under suspicion.

So sad.
We know you live those dogs and take care of them. The officer should have been able to tell by the condition of your dogs and their dwelling. So sorry this happened.

We know you live those dogs and take care of them. The officer should have been able to tell by the condition of your dogs and their dwelling. So sorry this happened.

His reaction appeared positive. He had done his homework - knew that I had beagles, knew that the beagle club was .4 miles away. I showed him my training book indicating that the dogs were worked routinely. In this world there are folks with true concerns , and then there are 'S' stirrers. Generally folks with true concerns do not end their letter: "Please keep this confidential as we would like to remain anonymous."

I think its fantastic that you still work them.
