Hi everyone, my name is Carolyn and I am from Long Island NY. I have wanted to raise my own chickens for eggs/pets for years and am finally doing it. I have a run built and a little coop within if for now for the 5 chicks I expect to hatch today. I am hoping they ship and arrive health later in the week. I'm planning to brood them indoors for a while as I want to keep them comfortable until they are sturdy enough to be outside at night with no heater.

I'm looking forward to being a part of this community online.
