Hello! This is where I will be posting pictures and stories of my chickens! I'll introduce you to the flock first.

We have been raising chickens for a long time. We've had many breeds, from Buff Orpingtons and Porcelains to Barred Rocks and Sex-links! Although our current breeds are mainly mixes of barred rock, game and (probably) australorp, we do have some purebreeds: two or three games, two sex-links, one cochin hen and one Easter egger. Here are some of my chickens that I had a longtime ago:

My cochin hens raising keets. If you have some orphan chicks or keets, cochins are the best chickens to adopt and raise them.

Some of my games and guineas in the snow. (About 2008, I think...)

Big Daddy, my huge barred rock I use to have. He knew his name-most of the time when you called his name he'd crow.

Two roosters in the snow.

Another picture of my hens and baby guineas.

The chickens I have now:

Sylvia, the EE I found walking around my hood that I adopted. She is the sweetest hen ever!!!!

Inkspot, a rooster that was hatched out in February of 2013.

Penguin, Inkspot's bro.

Bumblebee, the brother of the two.

It's Cinnaman the lady's man!!! He is also one of the brothers.

Chickadee, Penguin, Bumblebee, Cinnaman and Inkspot's sister.

This is Cupcake, the mother of all those youngsters. (too bad I couldn't get pics of Lemon and Charcoal, the other two sons)

Hoss, the biggest rooster on the farm!

Ameracauna. Don't ask how he got that name.

Abednego on a stick I attached between the sides of the coop. They all like perching on the sticks.

Grapeface, his mother.

Banjo when she was a pullet, sitting in the pear tree. Banjo and Rio hatched out in May, I think.

Banjo now.

Rio, Banjo's brother.

Licorice, a free range cockerel. About the age of Abednego.

Banjo and Rio in their coop. It is actually a rabbit hutch, but it does perfectly fine as a chicken coop.

Cinnaman, Bumblebee and Chickadee having a good ole' dust bath.

Welcome to the last album: miscellaneous animals and pictures.

The geese in snow. I have Toulouse, Chinese and Cuckoo geese.

Tanka, my Arabian/Quarter Horse mix.

This was Smoky, the stray cat I adopted. She was hit and killed in October, 2013.

R.I.P., Smoky.

This is the snake. Thee snake. The rat-snake. She's quite friendly!

In 2012, and a little of 2013, I like to bird-watch. These pine siskins and goldfinches are having a hearty meal of nyjer.

A couple of years ago a pure-white dove was seen in the yard. It was not an albino; it's eyes were black.

Okay, I better stop here before I get too carried away! I'll be sure to come her to give you updates on the farm and flock. Bye for now!

It's really cold right now; gonna get down to 9 º tonight. I brought the rabbits inside, stuffed the chicken coops with pine straw and leaves and stuffed the goats' stable with hay. They should all be warm tonight.
