Hello,
I know this question has been asked many times before. I am new to Barnyard Chickens. I have 4 Rhode Island Reds, bought them when they were a few days old the last week of Jan 2012 and tomorrow is 1 Aug 2012 and still no eggs. I built them a nice cage to include sun screens for shade, they each have their own nesting coop (but they will not go in it), they are spoiled rotten with all the treats I give them. They have all the crumble, scratch and ground oyster shell food they can eat. Can anybody have information as to when this type of breed will start laying eggs or is it a waiting game??
