Chicks and Ducklings in the same coop?

Hello
Now I am thinking of getting 2 ducklings and 2 chicks.
Can I put them together? or would it be better to build a separate
area for each, perhaps attached but not open for each other to go into
each side. and do ducks need a nesting box?

We have had ours together for a few weeks using the same starter/grower feed and water, they will be fine. One thing though, the ducks are allot messier than the chickens.
