Chicks and Ducklings.... is it a good combination?

I have 3 little duckings and they love to be with my 8 chicks outside, but im worried that they wont get the behavior that a normal duck would have, for example: The ducks dont like to swim because the try theyre hardest to get out of the pond and run with theyre chick friends. is thsi bad? wat do i do? should i worry?
