chicks and flies

We just got chicks about a week ago. They stay in our garage in a cage. As I went out today to visit them there were so many flies in the cage. I coudn't enjoy myself when I was out there. What is good way to get rid of all of these flies?

I use both DE and SweetPDZ in the coop - for horse and chickens.
I also move any fruit and veggie treats that don't get eaten (not much of that going on!)

You'll need to buy a dozen frogs to keep with your chicks...

But remember, if you get a dozen frogs to keep with the chicks, be sure the chicks can't eat them because they'll love the chance to eat the frogs.

But if you get the frogs you'll need a pond. And a couple of fish and a duck or three....

You just need to make sure the cage stays clean and dont let there food get wet or it will atracked flies and bugs.You might just get a ew fly traps a set it arond the garage.

If you decide you want to use DE (Diatomaceous Earth) make sure that you only use food grade DE.
