chicks and grit

Hi when do you give chicks grit and do you give it when they eat starter crumbs I mix crumb with mash

chick starter has some grit in it, so if that's all they're getting they don't really need it yet. If you give them anything else - treat wise - sprinkle some grit over their food - like you would salt over your food.
