dog have a mindof there own

mine is astaff lab mix that was a stray untill i adopted him. he was attacked by other dogs to what we can guess for the markes and scars he has. he is very violent to other dogs bigger thanhim, i think its his scared responce to attack before he gets attacked .

i was worried aboutmy chicks as they came after thedog but all is going great
the BOs i havetought buddy fromday one not to mess with them . wilma attaked buddy and from that day they are all friends !!
i willadmit i will never leave them onthere own asthings canchange expecially if there is a bone in hte garden the dynamics change dramatically. you just have to hope they can all get along and watch for any signs !!

We have 3 dogs, but they're fairly old. We had the chicks in the house with them for 3 days before they even noticed they were here. We introduced them through the brooder just in case, and they mostly sniffed and ignored them. If the peeped really loud the dogs would come get us, but that was about it.
The one baby we have now likes to chase the dogs tails.
And one day when they got out of their fence the one dog followed them all around the yard making sure they were ok. And once when they were out the neighbors dog (who would definitely eat them) tried to come into our yard and one of our dogs went after her. So they've been pretty good protectors so far.
(They are supposed to be staying in their run, but we're still working some on the coop and like to sneak out when we're bringing in more supplies, we're not trying to irresponsibly let them out or anything.)

Our dog loves our chickens! In fact, I am holding one as I write this and she doesn't even care!
