Chicks and Quail Chicks: tell me it’s okay?

After 24 hours of shuffling, it’s clear I have nowhere to put my 4 chicken Babies except with my quail chicks.

Chicken babies are 1 day old, quail chicks are 4 days old.

So far, the chicken babies have not killed or eaten the quail chicks. Chicken babies are just chilling under the heat lamp, while quail chicks run about.

They’re all gonna be okay together for a while, right? I can leave chicken chicks with quail chicks for a week or two and not have any major issues???

I don’t want to wake up to a brooder of dead quail. But...it would be so much easier to just keep them all together for now.

Reassurance?

After the chicks were 2+ days old in my experience they became more of a threat, from pecking and attacks to simply just being sat or stepped on... if you can separate them, try to, if you cannot try to keep a close eye on them. I don't know if what I've experienced is normal, but I've hatched many batches of quail and chicks and won't combine them again :'(

I guess I'm just not a fan of mixing different types together. Rabbits don't belong with chickens. Chickens dont belong with ducks. Turkeys don't belong with geese. The difference in size and behavior is too big of a risk in my opinion.

Can you put a divider in the brooder to keep the chickens and quail separated?
