Chicks and Rain

I have my chicks out in the run again today. We are having light rain on and off. Other than looking startled for a moment they seem fine. They went right back to eating. If it starts raining hard will they figure out to go into their coop?

I have showed them their coop. Yesterday I took them out to the run in their tote and popped them into the coop with through the nest box hatch. Some went to roost for a few minutes but most of them ran out the coop door.

I would add another cover in the run, an upside down box with holes or any simple cover should work if its not raining bad.

Chickens can handle rain...If they get to upset they should return to the Coop....

Agreed. As long as they have access to their coop and know how to enter it, then they are fine.
