chicks and sardines

i fed my 14 chicks 1 can sardines in oil and they devoured it in no time flat......is this good for them? worried about the salt. but they sure did love it

On the balance, if it was a one time thing, I wouldn't worry about the salt.

You can buy sardines in the cans without salt. Sardines are good for them and they love it.

where can i get the salt free sardines? they just seemed to be soooooo happy and into it...lol...thanks for any info as to where to buy it

I get the ones called "Brunswick" they are manufactured in New Brunswick Canada. My understanding that is the only place that cans Sardines. You probably could get them at Walmart, it says no salt added. Mine goes nuts over them as well.
