I have 8 week old chicks and the breeder told me when I got them (at 5 weeks) that they were good in the coop at night unless it got below 60 degrees. Tonight it is supposed to get to 56 degrees. Should I put out a heat lamp of just make sure the coop is closed up?

Thanks,
A

At 8 weeks they should be feathered out and acclimated to outside temperatures. They will be fine.

My 8 week old birds survive temps down to freezing quite nicely. they just huddle together and stay very warm.
