what is the predator?

I live in mid Wisconsin. Today I found this egg on the floor of my hen house. Sorry for the giant photo. Whatever it is ate the contents but didn't crush the shell. I think I have a hen or two that eats an occasional egg but not like this. I think the egg may have been about 3 feet from where it was laid. It was most likely laid in a lipped recycle container that sets on the ground. Of course there is always the possibility that someone laid in the middle of the coop...

nope. was in my wood hen house. had to either come in thru people door or auto chicken door.
