Weasels are night time hunters for the most part.
I have learned to live with my weasel (they are territorial, and you will only have one) . They are sometimes referred to as the "Farmers Friend" as one weasel will keep your rodent population in check.

I have a weasel, and a secure coop for my chickens at night. I free range during the day with 3 guardian Dogs on duty. Yes I loose one occasionally, but not to weasel.
