Thanks guys! It's a huge thing for me and the work ahead is overwhelming but I'm really looking forward to getting to the farm. Since winter strikes a tad earlier up there, I'm going to get right on setting up a new coop and getting some new hens

I am sure you will find some laying hens soon, but I have about 8-10 hens I would like to get rid of in september. They are 16 months old right now. Welsummers, blue and black copper marans, and a delaware. If you want to make a trip up to MD. I got them from chicks from this farm www.whitmorefarm.com

I am so sorry you had to sell your babies but at the same time I am so happy!!! When I first saw your post I thought Oh NO something terrible happened to the babies!

I can just imagine tho how sad you are tho looking out and not seeing them!!

I hope everything works out for you, and I am sure your new babies will fix you right up!!

should help you feel a little better even tho you will miss your other babies!!

So sorry you had to sell your babies, but as everyone has said, you will get more. Maybe with more space you can more than 8! All moves are stressful, but hey, it's a farm! Best of luck to you.
