Well, our girls slept through the night - I think. They were sound asleep when I checked on them at 4 am and again at 5am. Yep, I'm up at 4 every morning. If the alarm doesn't wake me, one of the two cats do.
The kitties love to watch "chicken tv". I found the youngest cat curled up on the workbench next to the brooder this morning, just watching. LOL! Other one did some sort of mere cat stance last night while watching from the garage floor. She is showing no interest in them now.
DD is very attentive to these chicks. All animals in general. She wants to be a vet when she grows up although she's an awesome artist and loves video games. So, obviously we'll see where all that goes. She checked on the girls first thing out of bed this morning. She loves them very much. She helped me clean up the brooder this morning and was checking the temperature for me. She's a pretty good kid - only child.
I took the paper towel out. It just kind of bothered me. I didn't want them picking at themselves or each other. Everything is going smoothly. They are eating and drinking and curl up next to each other to sleep.
