Here are some pics of our original 16 chicks at 12 days old, plus our newest additions - 2 Welsummer Chicks (seen here at 2 days and 5 days old, and 4 silkies (2 white, 1 splash, 1 black) at 2 days old!! We added these 6 over the weekend. What fun! Everyone gets along and we were pretty nervous about adding the 4 little silkies but they have (so far) been fine with the older, larger birds!

First up - 2 Welsummers - Sunny & Summer - 2 days old:

so I come on here for my fix! Did I mention we set up a camera in the brooder so I can check on them while at work?? Hehehe

talks2turtles - yes sunny and summer are both doing awesome - thanks so much for them!! they have quite the little personalities and never acted like they were smaller/younger than the others. Also, they were totally active the whole 3 hour ride home from picking them up at your house, which was great to see!!

The silkies on the other hand seem to need a lot more attention and we weren't sure if one of the yellow ones (Sasha) was going to make it but she's made it through 2 nights with the older girls so hopefully she'll pull through!! They were from a breeder in CT just over the RI line - skin coloring is off but we don't care - don't plan to show them or anything!
