Chicks ate styrofoam!

I have a quick question, does styrofoam hurt chicks? My 7 week old chicks somehow got a hold of a packing peanut that was in our yard and we’re fighting over it. I managed to get it away from all except one who ate about a half a packing peanut. They are in the yard a lot so they get grit there and I give them some grit incorporated with there food. Is there anything I can do or should I just wait it out?

It's not toxic, but it could cause a crop slow-down or blockage, however small that chance. If you wish to be proactive at preventing crop issues from this, give whichever chicks ate the stuff a teaspoon of coconut oil.
